Isabel Gibson has a collection of paintings in the Gallery Shop at the ACT Art Gallery in Maple Ridge. The paintings will be displayed until mid-May.

Audrey Bakewell is honored to achieve AFCA status with the Federation of Canadian Artists. The icing on the cake was selling one of her pictures at the opening reception.

Gabrielle Strauss had her painting “PS: I LOVE YOU” accepted into the BLOOM!2017 show at the Federation.

Sunshine & Sunflowers :: Wendy Mould

Gabrielle Strauss is showing several pieces of her works at the Fort Langley Artists Group- FLAG- on weekends until October 8th at the train station in Ft. Langley. There will be a paint in on September 5th from 12 pm -4 pm, with several artists doing on site demos.

On October 2nd FLAG will be part of the walking studio tour in Ft. Langley organized by the Centennial Museum from 10 am-4 pm.  The FLAG continues to be open until October 8th for the Cranberry festival, Gabrielle Strauss will be on site doing face painting as well.

Gabrielle Strauss is also one of the participants in the 2nd Langley Art Crawl October 1st/2nd and some of her works will be shown at Frostings Cupcakes

Wendy Mould Folowing the line

Wendy Mould, AFCA is pleased to announce that her picture “ Following the Line” was selected for the Arts 2016 Juried Show at the Surrey Arts Center.  Show runs June 25 – August 27, with the reception Friday, June 27, 7-9pm.

Wendy Mould, AFCA invites you to join her at the Kilby Historic Sites’s Plein Air Painting Festival August 26, 27 & 28, 11-4pm. Call for Artists – All skill levels are welcome! During the competition, come rain or shine, up to fifty participating artists from across the Lower Mainland are invited to paint around the historic site.  Capture breathtaking historic vistas, 1920s farm equipment, historic buildings, lush gardens & orchards, delightful farm animals, and the surrounding mountains of our uniquely beautiful region.  The festival will culminate in an award ceremony at the Sunday luncheon at 2:30pm.  Winners of the People’s Choice and various other categories will be announced at this time.  Check our website for prize information.  The sale of paintings will occur throughout the afternoon on Sunday until 4pm. Marney-Rose Edge is honoured to be speaking at the Oasis symposium this weekend in Kelowna. She joins Mike Svob and Barry Refuse for the event.

Marney-Rose Edge is participating in the North Shore’s Art in the Garden Saturday May 28 and Sunday May 29 2016 from noon to 5 pm both days.  This year the garden she is showing in will be featured in the Vancouver Sun May 20th with the gardener Delphia Johnstone.  The self guided tour guide is available for the North Vancouver Arts Council’s website.

Wendy Mould AFCA has two miniatures “Feeling the Edge” and “Gathering On the Edge” in the International Miniature Art Biennial 2016, Quebec.  Show runs June 3-Sept 18.  Wendy also has “Early Morning on the Mud Flats” in the Brush of Spring Show at the Surrey Arts Center and her picture “Over the Line” was accepted in the FCA Mail-In Art Exhibition, 2016.

Gabrielle Strauss still has her florals exhibited at Mc Burney Coffee House until the end of May.

Gabrielle Strauss will also be part of the first FLAG show this year, called “Nature’s patterns”, opening May 21st at the FLAG show gallery in Fort Langley, Langley Heritage Society CN Station, at the corner of Mavis and Glover Road. The show changes theme on June 25th.

Cindy Johnson has had a painting called “The Boys of Summer” chosen for the upcoming Federation show “Limitless”
